Cheyne Capital's approach to private markets: Stuart Fiertz in conversation with Alternative Fund Insight

Stuart Fiertz enjoyed discussing with Will Wainewright (of Alternative Fund Insight) why Cheyne has chosen its key private markets strategies – Real Estate Debt, Strategic Value Credit and Significant Risk Transfer – over other strategies in the space.

He shared his concerns about the convergence of the private credit and syndicated loan markets in respect of large-scale, sponsor-backed transactions, as well as his caution regarding the rush to finance data centres.

For the future, he expects the continued integration of alternatives into traditional strategic asset allocations and for Europe to continue to represent better value than the US.
