London, 22nd April 2024 – Cheyne Capital is pleased to announce that Frank Benhamou has joined the firm as Portfolio Manager for its Risk Transfer strategy.
Cheyne recently announced its re-entry into the Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) market, in which it was previously active from 2004 – 2018, achieving a strong track record over that time. Earlier this month, Cheyne launched the latest vintage of its Risk Transfer strategy and fully deployed its capital immediately into multiple transactions.
Prior to joining Cheyne, Benhamou spent 17 years at Barclays where, inter alia, he set up and led the Colonnade programme which has grown to become one of the largest SRT platforms globally.
Frank Benhamou, Risk Transfer Portfolio Manager at Cheyne Capital, said: “I am excited to be joining Cheyne at this timely juncture for the SRT opportunity set. I was impressed by Cheyne’s track record and approach to SRT which leverages their deep credit underwriting and structuring expertise and I look forward to growing a long-term investment programme built on strong partnerships with key issuers and investors.”
Sean Boland, Head of Corporate Credit and Risk Transfer at Cheyne Capital, said: “We are delighted to welcome Frank into a leadership role within our Risk Transfer strategy. His experience and market presence will facilitate the successful delivery of our Risk Transfer strategy to investors.
